BoricuActivatEd is honored to have received a Certificate of Recognition from one of the organization’s staunchest allies, Pennsylvania State Senate Art Haywood. Since the inception of BoricuActivatEd in 2017, Senator Haywood and his team have been a steady presence in all of the organization’s Philadelphia-based training sessions, engaging with participants to promote civic engagement and build relationships with elected officials.

Senator Haywood prepared the Certificate of Recognition in honor of BoricuActivatEd’s six years of bringing people together to help them become greater advocates and more active citizens.  The recognition comes as the organization celebrates surpassing 3,500 trainees and breaking new ground in communities across Northern Virginia, Southern California, and Pennsylvania. “We are extremely gratified by Senator Haywood’s support through the years,” said BoricuActivatEd founder Jennice Fuentes.  “We have long preached that building relationships with elected officials is a crucial component of the civic engagement journey, and are honored and grateful to have Senator Haywood play a significant role in that.”
